Investors Real Estate Trust (NASDAQ: IRETS)
announced today that its Board of Trustees has declared a distribution of
$0.515625 per share on the Company's Series A Cumulative Redeemable
Preferred Shares (NASDAQ: IRETP). This distribution will be payable January
2, 2006, to Series A preferred shareholders of record on December 15, 2005,
and will be for the period from and including October 1, 2005 through
December 31, 2005 (distributions are computed on the basis of a 360-day
year consisting of twelve 30-day months).
